BOSTON - After winning their fifth program title last year, the reigning #AEBASE champs, Binghamton have been selected as the preseason favorite to top the 2023 regular season.
The Bearcats earned four of six possible first place votes for a total of 31 points. UMass Lowell, predicted for a second place finish, received two first place votes for a total of 28 points. The final first place vote went to Maine, who is predicted to come in fourth with a total of 21 points.

What to watch for:
- Binghamton returns 25 players from last year’s championship roster including 2022 America East Rookie of the Year Evin Sullivan as well as five other all conference selections.
- UMass Lowell’s Jacob Humphrey returns for his sophomore year, after breaking the America East record for stolen bases.
- Bryant begins its first season in America East, joining from the Northeast Conference.
- NJIT returns 2022 America East Pitcher of the Year, Ryan Fischer for his senior season.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEBASE this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV.
