New Hampshire & Bryant Advance to #AEMSOC Championship

BOSTON – Top seed New Hampshire advanced to its sixth consecutive #AEMSOC Championship, while No. 2 seed Bryant secured its first trip to the championship game with a victory on Wednesday night.
 
The Wildcats scored in the 23rd minute and limited #5 seed NJIT to just four total shots in the contest to earn the 1-0 win. Bryant, meanwhile, continued its impressive turnaround with a 3-1 victory over #6 Binghamton, as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the second half.
 
New Hampshire will host the Bryant on Sunday at 2 p.m. for the conference title. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

#1 New Hampshire 1, #5 NJIT 0 – Box Score
  • The Wildcats peppered NJIT with shots from the opening minutes and finally broke through in the 23rd minute as Georgios Koliniatis scored off assists from Taig Healy and Atila Ashrafi.
  • UNH finished with a 22-1 shot advantage in the opening half.
  • In the final 45 minutes the Wildcats outshot the Highlanders 8-3, but neither team could get on the board.
  • Joseba Incera made one save in the win while NJIT’s Samuel Reisgys finished his impressive career with six stops.
 
#2 Bryant 3, #6 Binghamton 1 – Box Score
  • Adrian Camacho provided the early 1-0 advantage with an impressive shot from the edge of the 18 into the far corner of the net.
  • Six minutes before the half, Javier Soler Gandia made it 2-0 on a header off an assist from Jonas Lyshoj.
  • Bryant made it 3-0 in the 55th minute thanks to Inigo Villaldea.
  • Calvin Moe put Binghamton on the board in the 77th minute but they couldn’t get any closer as the Bulldogs came away with the win.
  • Dylan McDermott made four saves in the loss while Antreas Hadjigavriel earned the win without making a save.
