UNH Earns Top Seed in #AEMSOC Tournament Again!

It was a wild Halloween on the final night of the #AEMSOC season as a few second half goals proved to be the difference in the seeding of the six team tournament. #11 New Hampshire had the most impressive win of the evening with its 2-0 victory over #16 Vermont to clinch the regular season championship for a record-tying fifth straight season.
 
The championship now commences with quarterfinal action on Saturday, Nov. 4. The quarterfinals are set for Wednesday, Nov. 8 and the championship will be played on Sunday, Nov. 12 at the highest remaining seed.
 
  1. New Hampshire, 15 pts – Record-tying fifth consecutive #AEMSOC Regular Season Title
  2. Bryant, 14 pts – First #AEMSOC Tournament berth in program history
  3. UMBC, 12 pts – Second-straight top-four seed
  4. Vermont, 12 pts – 16th straight appearance in the #AEMSOC Tournament
  5. NJIT, 11 pts – Fourth consecutive tournament appearance
  6. Binghamton, 9 pts - Second straight tournament appearance

The Wildcats, the 11th-ranked team in the country, took home the first win of the evening to clinch the regular season title. #24 Bryant’s win over UMass Lowell put them alone in second place with 14 points, while Binghamton and UMBC played to a 2-2 draw. NJIT came through with a hard-fought 1-0 win over UAlbany to take home the No. 5 seed.
 
The only tiebreak was for the No. 3 seed, between UVM and UMBC which both finished with 12 points apiece. UMBC earned the tiebreak and No. 3 seed due to its 2-1 win over the Catamounts just ten days ago.
 
No. 4 UVM will host No. 5 NJIT on Saturday at 3 p.m., while No. 3 UMBC will welcome No. 6 Binghamton for a 7 p.m. matchup.

No. 1 UNH will face the winner of UVM and NJIT, while No. 2 Bryant will host the winner of UMBC and Binghamton on Nov. 8.
 
The 2023 America East Men’s Soccer Championship will primarily air on ESPN+ domestically and AmericaEast.TV internationally, with select contests solely on AETV.
