#AESD Week 5: 5 Programs Compete

BOSTON – Five #AESD programs took to the pool this weekend, with Binghamton men's winning back-to-back meets. New Hampshire won their meet vs. CCSU, while Bryant's women's sqaud defeated Binghamton's, and Binghamton's men's defeated Bryant.

 
2023-24 #AESD Weekly Award Winners - Oct. 31

Female Swimmer of the Week
Maddie Hoover, Binghamton – Sr., Hampstead, N.C.

  • Vs. Holy Cross, won the 100 free (53.74), 200 free, and swam on the winning 400 free relay 3:36:28.
  • Vs. Bryant, earned top honors in the 100 free (52.79), 200 free (1:53.50) and 500 free (5:08.11).
  • Swam on the 400 free relay that set the Bryant pool record (3:47:47).
Male Swimmer of the Week
Henry Shemet, Binghamton – Sr., Miller Place, N.Y.
  • Set the Bryant pool record in the 100 free (45.56), 200 free (1:41.56), 200 IM (1:52.91), and 400 medley relay (3:19.11).
  • Swam on the first-place 400 free relay against Holy Cross (3:08:48).
 
Female Diver of the Week
Elizabeth Tirado, Binghamton – So., White Plains, N.Y.
  • Won both diving events at Holy Cross, scoring 240.30 in the 1m and 244.30 in the 3m.
  • At meet vs. Bryant, won the 3m with her 244.30.
 
Male Diver of the Week
Andy Vines, UMBC – Fr., Canton, Ga.
  • Named the Diver of the Meet at the Thomas Murphy Invitational.
  • Won the 1m with a 276.80 and the 3m with his score of 287.35.
