#AEWSOC Week 7: Binghamton Tops Standings As Midway Point Nears

BOSTON – The #AEWSOC season crosses the midway point this week and as the halfway mark nears it's Binghamton and Maine atop the standings.
   
2023 #AEWSOC Weekly Award Winners – Oct. 2
Offensive Player of the Week
Frances O'Donnell, Vermont - Gr., Forward, Kenwood, Calif.
  • Tallied five points on two goals and an assist in Vermont's 6-1 win over UMass Lowell on Sunday. 
  • The five-point effort was the first by an #AEWSOC player in a league game this season.
  • This is O'Donnell's first ever #AEWSOC weekly honor.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Sally Rainey, New Hampshire – So., Goalkeeper, West Lebanon, N.H.
  • Stopped 12 of 13 shots she faced last week.
  • This is Rainey’s second #AEWSOC Defensive Player of the Week of the season and of her career (8/28/23).
 
Rookie of the Week
Ashley Cunningham, Bryant - Fr., Defender, Belchertown, Mass.
  • Contributed to a defensive unit that allowed just one goal in two games last week as the Bulldogs went 1-0-1.
  • This is Cunningham's first career #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor.
