#AEFH Week 8: UNH Stays Perfect & UMass Lowell Earns Crucial Win

BOSTON – New Hampshire stretched its #AEFH record to 6-0 with a blowout of Maine, while #18 UMass Lowell edged #20 UAlbany 3-2 as both teams now have one conference loss apiece. Vermont and Cal also came away with important wins to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Wildcats shut out Maine 6-0 and then blew out Merrimack 10-0 to earn its 11th win, the most wins for the program in a single season since 2013. The River Hawks came through with a big win over the Great Danes to keep their hopes of earning the No. 1 overall seed alive as both teams now have one loss. Vermont took down Bryant 5-1 and then on Saturday Cal outlasted UC Davis 4-1. UAlbany also pushed No. 3 North Carolina to the brink on Sunday, falling 4-3 late.

This weekend first place will once again be on the line as New Hampshire travels to UAlbany. A victory by the Wildcats would secure them at least a share of the regular season title, the No. 1 overall seed and hosting duties for the conference tournament. UMass Lowell travels to Bryant, while Maine and Vermont square off in a crucial contest.
