Women’s #AEHoops Week 10: Top Teams Keep Winning

BOSTON – UAlbany and Maine continued their dominant starts to conference play with nearly one third of #AEHoops action complete, while Vermont extended its win streak to three last week with a victory.

The Week That Was
  • The Great Danes are rounding into form, going 2-0 last week with both wins by 12+ points. At 6-0 they’re off to their best start since the 2015-16 season.
  •  Maine played just once last week and took down UMBC by a 71-54 score to improve to 4-0 in conference play.
  • Vermont, Binghamton, UMBC and NJIT are all sitting at 3-2 in conference play. The Catamounts have won three straight after starting 0-2, while Binghamton and NJIT both went 1-1 last week.

Looking Ahead
  • Women’s #AEHoops action starts on Monday as UNH travels to Bryant. Action continues on Wednesday, including a matchup between Maine and Vermont as each looks to extend their winning streak.
  • Wednesday also features UAlbany going to Binghamton, as the Bearcats look for the upset.
  • On Saturday, Maine travels to Binghamton while NJIT welcomes Vermont in a pair of matchups that could decide seeding at the end of the year.

A reminder that every round of the Jersey Mikes #AEPlayoffs will take place on the higher seed’s home court so earning home court advantage will prove crucial once again. The league champion will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.
