Men's #AEHoops Week 10: Binghamton, Bryant, UMBC Post Unbeaten Weeks

BOSTON – Through a quarter of the 2022-23 #AEHoops season, UMBC and Binghamton sit atop the league standings at 3-1 after both teams swept action last week.
  • UMBC beat Maine last week to improve to 3-1.
  • The Retrievers have won three straight and nine of its last 11 overall.
  • Binghamton has won three in a row after posting a pair of one-point wins last week.
  • The Bearcats beat NJIT 72-71 in overtime on Wednesday before knocking off UMass Lowell 66-65 on Saturday.
  • Bryant improved to 3-2 and averaged 86.5 points in its two wins over UAlbany and UNH.
  • In all, six of America East's nine teams posted wins last week.
  • Bryant’s Sherif Gross-Bullock leads the league in scoring averaging 16.9 points per game.

Conference positioning will again prove key for the Jersey Mikes #AEPlayoffs. Every round of the Jersey Mikes #AEPlayoffs will take place on the higher seed’s home court and earning home court advantage will prove crucial once again.

The league champion will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, where America East teams have won nine games all-time, including UMBC’s historic upset of Virginia in 2018.
