BOSTON – UMass Lowell and Vermont each started conference play with a pair of hard-fought victories, while Bryant also went 2-0 in non-conference play to highlight last week’s action.
 
America East action gets underway for the rest of the conference this weekend. Bryant plays its first conference contest against UVM, who has won six straight. Maine, meanwhile, looks to defend its #AEFH crown when it hosts UNH and UAlbany in a pair of games on ESPN+.

Offensive Player of the Week
Brittany Gouws, Bryant – Sr., Midfielder, Cape Town, South Africa

• Totaled five goals and two assists for 12 points in a 2-0 week.
• Registered two goals and two assists in a 5-2 victory over Stonehill
• Recorded a hat trick, including the overtime game-winner as Bryant took down Saint Louis 3-2 in OT.

 
Defensive Player of the Week
Sierra Espeland, Vermont – Gr., Goalkeeper, Stafford, Va.

• Went 2-0 with a 0.48 GAA, seven saves and .875 save percentage last week.
• Gave UVM its first-ever win over Stanford, making six saves in the 1-0 OT victory and playing 64:31 in the cage.
• Recorded a victory over UC Davis with one save to open conference play 1-0.

 
Rookie of the Week
Kendall Dowd, Stanford – Fr., Goalkeeper, Austin Texas

• Went 0-1 with a 0.65 GAA and .833 save percentage with five saves over two games.
• Started the second half and shut out UMass Lowell while making two saves and facing three penalty corners as Stanford came up short 1-0.
• Shut out Vermont for 64 minutes before giving up a goal in OT, falling 1-0 with three saves and nine shots faced.
