ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Maine women’s basketball team posted the third highest team GPA in all of Division I, while UAlbany was also recognized for its academic success as the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2021-22 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls this week.
The Black Bears boasted an impressive 3.730 cumulative GPA during the 2021-22 academic year, while also claiming their second straight America East Regular Season Championship and their fourth in the last five years. Reigning America East Tournament Champion UAlbany was ranked 22
nd in the nation with a 3.570 cumulative GPA for 2021-22.
Also earning recognition from the WBCA for earning a GPA over 3.0 was UVM (3.54), Binghamton (3.31) and Stony Brook (3.19).
