BOSTON – UMass Lowell snapped the second-longest win streak in the country last Saturday with a 5-2 win over Maine. The River Hawks then became just the second America East team this season to win a series against the Black Bears with a walk-off win in the rubber game on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Stony Brook swept UMBC, NJIT took two of three in a pivotal series against Binghamton and Hartford overcame an 11-4 sixth-inning deficit on Sunday to take the series against UAlbany.
The Black Bears, predetermined hosts of the 2022 #AEBASE Championship, have secured the tournament’s top seed.
The preseason poll was announced on Feb. 4.

- Drove in four runs and doubled in all three games.
- This is his first career Player of the Week award and second Rookie of the Week honor.
Pitcher of the Week
Ray Weber, UAlbany – Sr., RHP, West Islip, N.Y.
- Tossed seven shutout innings in win over Hartford.
- Struck out six.
- This is Weber’s second career Pitcher of the Week honor and first this season.
