Maine Clinches #AEBASE Championship Berth, Earns Two More Weekly Awards

BOSTON – Maine baseball compiled yet another strong week, this time capped by clinching the first spot in the America East Baseball Championship.

The Black Bears have won 13 consecutive games – the second-longest active streak in Division I behind Columbia’s 19-game stride. Stony Brook took two of three from NJIT last weekend and now has a three-game lead in Division B.

Upcoming series include Binghamton and NJIT meeting for the final time and Maine visiting UMass Lowell with a chance to lock up Division A.

The preseason poll was announced on Feb. 4.
