Mackay, Bobb, Schaffer Qualify for NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Three America East student-athletes booked a trip to Oregon for the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships after meeting qualifying standards at NCAA East preliminaries.

All-American Emily Mackay qualified for her third NCAA Championship of 2021-22 and fifth in fourteen months. The Binghamton distance runner won her semifinals heat to advance to the 1,500m finals. She'll run for a national title Saturday, June 11 at 5:41 p.m. EST.

Dan Schaffer is headed to a national championship for the first time after the Binghamton grad student finished sixth in his heat at NCAA East preliminaries. He will run for a national title Friday at 10:55 p.m. EST.
 
UMBC freshman Caitlyn Bobb continued her decorated debut season, punching her ticket to nationals in the 400m. She'll run the event Thursday at 10 p.m. EST in hopes of being in the top two in her heat or the next three fastest times.

19 America East student-athletes have qualified for NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships over the past six years.
