Men's Lacrosse 5/26/2022 4:07:48 PM McConvey, Burke Named USILA All-Americans Two America East men’s lacrosse standouts, both from league champion Vermont, have been named All-Americans by the USILA. Thomas McConvey and Tommy Burke has both been chosen honorable mention selections. McConvey, the America East Offensive Player of the Year put together one of the best offensive seasons in program history in 2022 finishing with a league-best and program-record 60 goals and 74 total points. The senior midfielder also scored 12 goals in the America East Championship on his way to being named Most Outstanding Player in Vermont's second straight conference championship run. Burke followed up 2021 with yet another record-breaking season at the faceoff X. He became Vermont's all-time leader in faceoff wins and his 61 percent success-rate at the dot this year ranks second all-time – trailing only his breakout season a year ago. He finished the year with 104 ground balls and is now just the second Catamount with over 200 career ground balls. Burke was also named to the America East All-Conference First Team for the second straight season. McConvey and Burke are the 15th and 16th America East student-athletes across all sports to earn All-America honors this season.
