#AEBASE Championship Matchups Set for Wednesday

The final championship of 2021-22 is scheduled for Wednesday and now the bracket has been established. Five of the six seeds came down to the final day of the regular season, as did the regular-season title.

The postseason will feature six teams for the fifth time in six postseasons. The four-day double-elimination tournament will take place May 25-28 at Mahaney Diamond for the second time in four years.

Maine earned the top seed in the championship and clinched a share of its first regular-season title since 2013 and sixth overall.

First pitch for Wednesday is scheduled for 11 a.m. between #4 UMass Lowell and #5 UMBC. #3 NJIT and #6 Hartford will follow at 2:30 p.m. with the losers of both games squaring off in an elimination game at 6 p.m. The bracket will re-seed following the opening day with #1 Maine playing the lower-seeded winner of the first two games on Thursday at 11 a.m. and #2 Binghamton playing the other winner at 2:30 p.m.

All games will air on ESPN+ domestically and AmericaEast.TV outside of the United States.
