Metzler Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire’s Anna Metzler has been named a CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large selection for her success in the pool and in the classroom, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday afternoon.

Metzler was the lone America East student-athlete, male or female, to earn CoSIDA At-Large honors. The senior swimmer owns a 3.95 GPA as a Biomedical Science major. She is a three-time America East Swimming & Diving Scholar Athlete of the Year and has been named to the All-Academic Team three times as well.

In the pool, she has reached the NCAA Championships three consecutive years in the 400 IM, 200 IM and the 200 backstroke. Metzler earned individual titles in the 200 IM (1:59.04) and the 200 fly (2:00.96) at the most recent America East Championships and was part of four UNH relay teams to place second on the weekend.
