BOSTON – Vermont stayed unbeaten in #AEMLAX play over the weekend with a decisive win over UMass Lowell. The Catamounts sit atop the league standings at 3-0 with Binghamton a half game back at 2-0.
UMBC beat UAlbany while Stony Brook knocked off NJIT.
Also last week, UAlbany hosted Syracuse for the first time at Casey Stadium and knocked off the Orange, 14-12, in front of 3,688.
Binghamton's Kevin Winkoff was a midseason add to the Tewaraarton Award Watch List. Vermont's Thomas McConvey and Stony Brook's Dylan Pallonetti were previously named. Tewaraaton Award Watch List
The preseason poll was announced on January 26.

Offensive Player of the Week
Michael McCormack, Vermont – Sr., Attack, Willamstown, Mass.
- Tallied a career-high eight points in Vermont’s win over UMass Lowell.
- Scored five goals and added three assists.
- This is McCormack’s first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kyle Hoff, UMBC – So., SS Midfielder, Center Valley, Pa.
- Led a defensive effort that resulted in UMBC holding UAlbany to seven goals in a win.
- The seven goals allowed was the lowest by the Retrievers this season.
- Picked up four ground balls and added a caused turnover.
- Also scored a goal and had an assist.
- This is Hoff’s first career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Thomas Decker, UAlbany – Fr., Midfielder, North Massapequa, N.Y.
- Had three goals and an assist in UAlbany’s win over Syracuse.
- This is Decker’s first career Rookie of the Week award.
