BOSTON – After over month of non-conference play, league action in men's lacrosse begins this week. UMass Lowell takes on Stony Brook in the first #AEMLAX game of the season on Wednesday kicking off the 21-game conference slate.
The preseason poll was announced on January 26.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEMLAX Weekly Award Winners – March 7
Offensive Player of the Week
Thomas McConvey, Vermont – Sr., Midfielder, Toronto, Ont.
- Topped his career high with six goals vs. Providence on Saturday.
- Totaled nine points on eight goals and an assist last week.
- This is McConvey’s second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Matthew DeSouza, Binghamton - Jr., Faceoff Specialist, Oakton, Va.
- Had 10 ground balls in Binghamton's 16-6 win over Hofstra.
- Went 19-of-22 on faceoffs.
- This is DeSouza's first career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Kevin Doughty, UMBC - Fr., Attach, Glenelg, Md.
- Scored a pair of goals in UMBC's win over 20th-ranked Utah.
- This is Doughty's first career Rookie of the Week award.
