BOSTON – Stony Brook has been picked the preseason favorite to top the 2022 regular-season standings per a vote of the conference's eight head coaches.
The Seawolves earned four of six possible first-place votes for a total of 46 points. NJIT earned three first-place votes for a total of 40 points while Binghamton earned the final first-place pick and racked up 37 points. Here is the poll:
The season gets underway Feb. 18 as all but one team begin their seasons. The championship is scheduled for May 25-28 hosted by the University of Maine. The league champion will earn the conference’s automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Baseball Championship. Full #AEBASE schedule
