BOSTON – Maine is one of the hottest women’s basketball teams in the country and defeated the top-two teams in the #AEHoops standings last week. The Black Bears’ seventh consecutive win came at Stony Brook as they became the first road team to win at Island Federal Arena this season.

- The Black Bears’ win streak is tied for 13th-longest in the Division I.
- The team has now won ten or more conference games in five consecutive seasons.
- UAlbany (10-3) has won six of seven and has its most #AEHoops wins in the Colleen Mullen era.
- The Great Danes closed out Vermont 54-52 Saturday to improve to a perfect 12-0 at home.
- The Great Danes have allowed the fewest points per game to opponents in Division I.
- Stony Brook (11-2) has eclipsed the 20-win mark for the third time in four seasons.
- The Seawolves have won 11 of their last 12.
- Stony Brook became the first #AEHoops program to beat two Power-5 teams in the same season since Maine beat LSU and Clemson in 2015-16.
- The Seawolves have the best non-conference record (9-1) since the 2019-20 Seawolves started 12-1.
- The Seawolves ranked tenth in last week’s College Insider Mid Major Top 25.
- Josie Larkins, India Pagan, Leighah-Amori Wool, Ellyn Stoll and Janee’a Summers are the league’s active 1,000-point scorers.

Player of the Week
Anne Simon, Maine – Jr., Guard, Sandweiler, Luxembourg
- Averaged 19.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Black Bears.
- Simon led the way in a win over Stony Brook with 21 points and 10 rebounds – her third double-double of the season.
- The junior also scored her 1,000th career point against UAlbany.
- She has been named Player of the Week a league-high three times this season and four times in her career.
Rookie of the Week
Freja Werth, UAlbany – Fr., Guard, Aldrid, Sweden
- Averaged 4.5 points and 2.5 steals in 1-1 week.
- Werth tallied four steals in Saturday’s win over UVM.
- This is her second Rookie of the Week honor.
