BOSTON – Emily Mackay continued her impressive season with another top-10 time at the John Thomas Terrier Classic last weekend. A number of America East student-athletes competed in the meet held at the site of the #AETF Championships which will take place later this month.
UAlbany competed in two meets last weekend, including hosting the Great Dane Classic while Maine hosted an invitational. Several #AETF student-athletes competed in the annual Millrose Games as well, including one of the Performers of the Week.

#AETF Weekly Award Winners – Feb. 1
Female Track Performer of the Week
Emily Mackay, Binghamton – Sr., Distance, Endicott, N.Y.
- Ran the 3K at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, running another top-10 time.
- Mackay finished third behind a pair of pro runners and her 8:54.45 time ranks sixth in DI.
- This is her third consecutive weekly award for a third event.
Male Track Performer of the Week
Dan Schaffer, Binghamton – Sr., Distance, Endwell, N.Y.
- Ran another sub four-minute mile at the Millrose Games.
- Schaffer was the top collegiate finisher with his 3:59.31 pace.
- This is his second weekly award of the season.
Female Field Performer of the Week
Ludith Campos, UAlbany – Sr., Throws, Mount Vernon, N.Y.
- Competed in two meets last weekend, besting her Friday weight throw on Saturday.
- Campos upped her conference-best throw to 63’1.25”, earning the win at the Great Dane Classic.
- This is her second-straight weekly honor.
Male Field Performer of the Week
Robert Blue, UAlbany – Sr., Jumps, Harrison, N.Y.
- Won the triple jump at the Great Dane Classic.
- Blue improved his season-best to 50’2.75”, nearly two feet better than the next #AETF performer.
- This is his second consecutive Performer of the Week nod.
