Nagy, Bombito & Bright Named USC All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced its 2022 All-Americans on Friday, with Vermont’s Alex Nagy as well as New Hampshire’s Moise Bombito and Yannick Bright earning recognition for their outstanding play this season.
 
Nagy was the lone First-Team All-America selection, marking the fourth consecutive season the America East has had at least one First Team honoree. He is the first Catamount to earn First-Team honors since 1989.
 
Bombito was named to the Second Team while Bright was on the Third Team. It marks the sixth consecutive season that the Wildcats have had at least one All-American. Bright was one of five repeat All-Americans this season.
 
Nagy, a midfielder, tallied a team-high 27 points (9 goals, 9 assists) in 17 games this season to help lead the Catamounts to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals for the first time since 1989. Nagy averaged 1.59 points per game, which ranked No. 11 in the country, and 0.53 assists per game, which ranked No. 12. He led his squad in points, assists, shots, shots on goal, and game-winning goals in 2022.
 
Bombito was named the 2022 America East Defender of the Year and earned First-Team All-Conference accolades. He tied for third on the team with four goals and tied for second with two game winners. Bright was named the 2022 America East Midfielder of the Year for the second straight season, while he also earned First Team All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year after registering two goals and one assist for five points. The duo led a defense that was third in the nation and helped the team claim the 2022 America East Championship.
