BOSTON - The 2022-2023 Indoor Track and Field season began this weekend. Eight of nine America East schools competed in the opening weekend. Highlighted by a few NCAA Division leaders. The New Hampshire Men’s and Women’s DMR teams top the NCAA Division 1 leaderboard after this weekend of competitions. Male Track Performer of the Week, Shak Williams ran a personal best and is ranked second overall in NCAA Division I 60m, while teammate and Male Field Performer of the Week, Louis Gordon is ranked 10th overall in the NCAA Division I long jump. Also alongside fellow teammate, Ludith Campos is now ranked #5 in the NCAA Division I weight throw after her performance this weekend.

Female Track Performer of the Week
Jenna Chan, Binghamton - Jr., Hurdles, Roseland, N.J.
- Chan won the 60 hurdles at the Cornell/Greg Page Relays on Saturday with a time of 8.62.
- Her time met the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships.
Female Field Performer of the Week
Ludith Campos, UAlbany, Gr., Throws, Mount Vernon, N.Y.
- Campos won the weight throw at the Carlton Crowell Invitational - Army West Point with a distance of 62-04.50.
- She is now ranked NCAA Division I #5 in weight throw after Saturday's meets
Male Track Performer of the Week
Shak Williams, UAlbany - So., Springs, St. Andrew, Jamaica
- Williams ran a Personal Best at the Carlton Crowell Invitational - Army West Point in the 60m with a time of 6.66 (1st, F, PR)
- He broke the previous 60m meet record and school record with his time and is also ranked NCAA Division I #2 in 60m after Saturday's meets
Male Field Performer of the Week
Louis Gordon, UAlbany - Jr., Jumps, Bodden Town, Grand Cayman
- Gordon took first place in the long jump at the Carlton Crowell Invitational - Army West Point with a distance of 24-01.00.
- With this time Gordon broke the previous long jump meet record and is now ranked NCAA Division 1 #10 in the long jump after this weekend.
