UMBC and Binghamton Volleyball Continue On

BOSTON - The America East Conference will see two volleyball teams playing in December. UMBC earned a bid in the NCAA Tournament after sweeping UNH in the #AEVB Championship, while Binghamton will compete in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship. Both teams will compete Friday, December 2nd.

UMBC (17-8) will travel to State College, PA, taking on #11 Penn State (24-7), in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The teams have only faced off twice in program history, with the last being in 2018. The winner of the match will advance to face the winner of the UCF (27-1) vs Yale (23-2) match.

Binghamton received an automatic bid to the NIVC for winning the #AEVB regular season champion title. The Championship is meant for highly competitive volleyball programs that were not selected to the NCAA Tournament. Binghamton will travel to Boston College where they’ll take on St. John’s (19-13).
