Maine Sweeps #AESD Awards

BOSTON – Despite the close loss to Holy Cross, Maine featured many strong performances that swept Week 5 of the #AESD awards. 

Meanwhile, UMBC put together a strong showing at home versus VMI, defeating the Keydets 201-92. 

This weekend, Binghamton, Maine, and Vermont will all compete in the 3-day Rhode Island Invitational, while NJIT will compete in the Bucknell Invitational. 


 
2022 #AESD Weekly Award Winners – Nov. 15  
Female Swimmer
Isabelle Irani, Maine

  • Placed first in the 100 butterfly (58:55) and the 200 IM (2:14:40).
  • Was apart of the winning 200 medley relay (1:49:74) team. 

Female Diver 
Haylie Calver, Maine

  • Placed first in 1m with a score of 253.73.

Male Diver 
Riley Clark, Maine

  • Swept the diving events.
  • Scored 268.13 on 1m board.
  • Scored 288.15 on 3m board.
Male Swimmer 
Liam Blair, Maine 
  • Won the 100 (53:04) and 200 (1:58:15) backstroke.
  • Was also a part of Maine's winning 200 medley relay (1:35:31) and 200 freestyle relay (1:26:43) teams.
