BOSTON - The #AEVB regular season came to a close with Binghamton capturing its first-ever Regular Season Championship and hosting rights for the #AEVB Championship, after taking down Bryant 3-0 in the last match of the season.
All seeds and a final postseason spot were up for grabs heading into the final weekend matches. UNH upset UAlbany 3-2 on the road to clinch their berth and a fourth-place finish, while Bryant defeated UMBC at home to earn the third seed. UMBC secured the second seed for the Championship with their 3-0 win over UAlbany.
The #AEVB Championship begins this Saturday at Binghamton with semifinal action. New Hampshire faces Binghamton in the first match while Bryant takes on UMBC in the second. Full schedule along with streaming and story links can be found at the Championship Central.

2022 #AEVB Weekly Award Winners – Nov. 15
Player of the Week
Hannah Serbousek, UNH – Jr., Outside Hitter, Fort Collins, Colo.
- Averaged 3.25 kills and 2.63 digs per set in a 2-0 week.
- In 3-2 win vs. UAlbany hit .216, with 14 kills and 14 digs.
- In 3-0 sweep of NJIT hit .370 recorded 12 kills and seven digs.
Setter of the Week
Lottie Scully, Binghamton – Fr., Setter, Hurdle Mills, N.C.
- Averaged 11 assists and 3.0 digs per set in her only match of the week.
- Helped the team hit .284 in 3-0 win at Bryant to clinch regular season championship.
Defensive Specialist of the Week
Michela De Marzi, UMBC – So., Middle Blocker, Milan, Italy
- Totaled 18 blocks in eight sets and also added three digs and six kills in a 1-1 week.
- In 3-2 loss to Bryant, recorded eight blocks, three digs and three kills
- In 3-0 win vs. UAlbany, held them to -.009 hitting and recorded career-high 10 blocks with three kills.
Rookie of the Week
Giulia Bonifacio, Binghamton – Fr., Right Side, Alba, Italy
- In lone match, hit .500 to sweep Bryant and claim regular season championship.
- Posted 13 kills, 11 digs and five blocks in the victory.
