BOSTON - This past Friday seven America East Teams competed in the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh. Our seven America East schools competed in a field of over 5,500 student-athletes from over 450 colleges or high schools. UMass Lowell men finished 13th in the 8k Gold Race as well as 1st in the men’s 8k Open. Vermont men took 9th in the 8k Brown Race, while UMBC men took 13th in the same race. On the women’s side, Vermont placed 10th in the women’s 6k Brown Race and 12th in the women’s 6k Open.
This week, two #AEXC teams hold on to regional rankings. UMass Lowell men are ranked 10th in the Northeast Region. Binghamton women are now ranked 10th as well in the Northeast Region.

Female Performer of the Week
Kenzie Doyle, UMass Lowell - Sr., Swansea, Mass.
- Finished 16th overall in a field of 417 runners in the women's College Gold 6K at the Paul Short Invite
- Doyle crossed in a time of 19:57.0 for a new personal-best
Male Performer of the Week
John Riley, UMass Lowell - Sr., Quincy, Mass.
- Placed 31st out of 416 runners in the Men's College Gold 8K at the Paul Short Invite
- His finishing time of 23:30.6 also marked a personal best
