BOSTON – Nearly halfway through conference play, the top #AEWSOC teams are starting to emerge. Binghamton (3-0-0) and Maine (2-0-2) are the lone unbeatens and sit atop the league standings. The Bearcats posted wins over NJIT and Vermont last week while the Black Bears tied UNH and knocked UAlbany from the rank of the unbeatens.
UMass Lowell also won twice last week, beating Vermont and NJIT. Three of the eight contests ended in a tie.
The league slate hits the midway point this week with four games on Sunday, Oct. 9.

Offensive Player of the Week
Maya Anand, Binghamton – Sr., Forward, Leesburg, Va.
- Tallied eight points on three goals and two assists last week.
- Set up the lone goal in a 1-0 win over NJIT on Thursday.
- Had a hat trick and an assist in win over Vermont on Sunday.
- Leads the league with 21 points and nine goals.
- This is Anand’s second-straight #AEWSOC Offensive Player of the Week honor and third of her career (9/26/22, 8/30/21).
Defensive Player of the Week
Halle Rogers, Maine – Sr., Defender, Medina, Ohio
- Captained a defense that allowed just five shots on goal in two games.
- Help UAlbany to only one shot in a 1-0 shutout win on Sunday.
- Assisted on Maine’s game-tying goal in 1-1 deadlock with UNH on Thursday.
- This is Rogers’ first career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Ashley Ladner, UAlbany – Fr., Forward, Oceanside, N.Y.
- Scored her first career goal in Thursday’s 1-1 tie vs. NJIT.
- This is Ladner’s first career #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor.
