A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
  1. Last Time Out: Last year’s Cross-Country Championships were held at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. On the women’s side, Binghamton’s Emily Mackay had a repeat win and was crowned America East Cross Country Champion, while UMass Lowell took the women’s team title totaling 32 points. On the men’s side, Binghamton’s Dan Schaffer won the Men’s Cross-Country Champion title, while UMass Lowell took the team title with 26 points.
  2. Last Time at Jerusalem Mill Park: The last time that Jerusalem Mill Park hosted the America East Championships was back in 2016 when Stony Brook took home the title on the men’s side while New Hampshire won the women’s team championship. For the men, Maine's Jesse Orach took home the individual title while UAlbany’s Hannah Reinhardt won the women’s individual championship.
  3. Regional Rankings: This season, multiple America East programs have featured in the regional rankings. Earlier this year, the UMass Lowell men ranked as high as 7th while the Binghamton and UMBC men cracked the top-15 in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions respectively. On the women’s side, Binghamton was previously ranked inside the top-10.
  4. Runners to Watch: While both individual winners from last year graduated from their institution, there are still plenty of top performers returning from last year’s championship. In total, eight men and women All-Conference runners return from last season. One First Team All-Conference runner returns for the men (Drew Everett, UMass Lowell) and two Second Team All-Conference runners (John Riley, UMass Lowell; Daniel Cosgrove, UMass Lowell) while two First Team All-Conference runners return for the women (Izzy Geising, UMass Lowell; Aziza Chigatayeva, Binghamton) and three Second Team All-Conference runners return (Mackenzie Doyle, UMass Lowell; Kira Nola, New Hampshire; Jane Leighton, Vermont).
