A hard-fought America East women’s soccer regular season came down to a thrilling final day that saw Binghamton capture the regular-season title and NJIT earn the final spot in the tournament field. The 2022 America East Women’s Soccer Championship bracket is set as the final seeds and matchups were finalized on Thursday.
The championship commences on Sunday with quarterfinal action. The final seeds for the 2022 America East Women’s Soccer Championship are:
1. Binghamton – 3rd-ever regular-season title
2. New Hampshire – Best seed since 2017
3. Maine – First appearance since 2016
4. UMass Lowell – Fifth-straight appearance
5. UAlbany – Eighth appearance in last nine years
6. NJIT – Second-straight appearance

Binghamton secured its first regular-season title since 2017 with a 5-0 win at UMBC. New Hampshire sewed up the #2 seed with a 1-1 tie vs. UMass Lowell. That tie combined with UAlbany’s 1-1 tie at Vermont locked in the #3 through #5 seeds, while NJIT earned the #6 seed with its dramatic 3-2 comeback win at Bryant paired with UMBC’s loss.
The River Hawks will host the Great Danes in the first quarterfinal on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. while the Black Bears will host the Highlanders in the other semifinal at 5 p.m.
The winner of UMass Lowell-UAlbany will visit #1 Binghamton in the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 3 and the Maine-NJIT winner will square off against #2 UNH in Durham. Both semifinals will start at 6 p.m.
The semifinal winners will face off for the 2022 conference title at the higher remaining seed on Sunday, Nov. 6.
All games of the 2022 America East Women’s Soccer Championship will air on ESPN+ domestically and AmericaEast.TV internationally.
