BOSTON – No. 12 Vermont & New Hampshire stayed on top of the conference standings with a pair of shutouts, qualifying for the America East Championship field in the process. The two teams are each 4-0 in league action.
The Catamounts own the nation’s longest win streak at ten games and are ranked 12th in the second RPI report after stretching their shutout streak to six games last week. UMBC hosts UVM this Saturday, looking for a possible upset. The Wildcats host Binghamton this weekend, looking to stay atop the standings while UAlbany seeks to take down NJIT and UMass Lowell hosts Bryant.

- Recorded nine points in a pair of victories last week.
- Registered two goals and two assists in a victory over Delaware.
- Had one goal and one assist in a win over Bryant on Saturday.
- This is Becher’s second straight #AEMSOC Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Nate Silveira, Vermont – Gr., Goalkeeper, East Providence, R.I.
- Recorded a pair of shutouts with six saves in a 2-0 week.
- Stopped four shots as UVM took down previously unbeaten UMass.
- Made two saves in a 4-0 shutout of NJIT.
Rookie of the Week
Noe Coutiño, Vermont – Fr., Forward, El Paso, Texas
- Registered his first career point with an assist against UMass, who was unbeaten entering last week’s match.
- Helped UVM to a 2-0 record on the week.
- This is Coutiño’s first #AEMSOC Rookie of the Week honor.

Four teams have reached the third round of the NCAA tournament since 2014, including UMBC getting all the way to the College Cup in 2014. The conference has received multiple bids to the NCAA tournament in three of last seven seasons, including in 2021 when both UNH and league champion Vermont received bids.
