Week 6 #AEXC Awards Highlighted by Top-10 Finishes

BOSTON - Two meets featured America East cross country programs last weekend. A total of 6 #AEXC teams competed in the NEICAAA Cross Country Championships. This regional meet was highlighted by two top 10 team overall finishes in Maine and UMass Lowell on the men’s side and one top ten overall team finish in the women’s varsity meet with Bryant coming in at 8th. NJIT also hosted a successful Highlander meet where the men took 2nd place overall and the women placed 4th overall.

Female Performer of the Week
Caroline O'Shea, UMass Lowell - Gr., Nashua, N.H.
  • Finished 10th overall in the women’s varsity 5k at the 2022 New England Cross Country Championships 
  • Finished with an 18:35 time at a 5:59 mile pace
Male Performer of the Week
Alec Troxell, Maine - Sr., Portland, Maine
  • Finished 2nd in the 8k at the 2022 New England Cross Country Championships 
  • Finished with a final time of 24:43 at a 4:59 mile pace
