BOSTON – UAlbany, New Hampshire and Stony Brook each won a pair of matches last week. NJIT won its season opener, 3-0, over Saint Peter’s. A trio of matches are scheduled for Tuesday evening and 21 lie ahead for the weekend.
The preseason poll was released on Aug. 12.

#AEVB Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 7
Player of the Week
Enitan Omolewa, Stony Brook – Jr., Middle Blocker, Laurel, Md.
- Led Stony Brook to a pair of wins with .370 hitting percentage while averaging 3.7 points per set and 1.2 blocks per set.
- Also averaged 2.7 kills per set.
- This is her first career #AEVB weekly honor.
Setter of the Week
Wren Macaulay, New Hampshire – Jr., Setter, Lake Orion, Mich.
- Compiled 112 assists in three matches for the Wildcats.
- Also had 31 digs and was named to the Holly Young Invitational All-Tournament Team.
- This is Macaulay’s first career Setter of the Week award.
Defensive Specialist of the Week
Charlotte Macken, UAlbany – Sr., Libero, Clifton Park, N.Y.
- Totaled 64 digs in four matches for an average of 4.0 per set.
- Macken aced the game-winning serve against Cornell, her fourth of the week.
- She has now been named Defensive Specialist of the Week five times in her career.
Rookie of the Week
Camryn Luginbuhl, Hartford – Fr., Outside Hitter, Tolland, Conn.
- Averaged 4.0 points per set, 3.8 kills per set and 2.9 digs per set at the Yale Invitational.
- Luginbuhl led Hartford with 45 points and 42 kills.
- She has been named Rookie of the Week for a second consecutive week.
