BOSTON – Week three of #AEWSOC play saw Hartford and NJIT post unbeaten weeks. The Hawks downed Merrimack and Lafayette while the Highlanders took down Wagner and St. Peter's. UMBC and Vermont also earned wins last week.
Seventeen more non-league games take place this week, including seven at home, that will air either on The AE on ESPN or AE.TV.
The preseason poll was announced on August 9.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEWSOC this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEWSOC Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 7
Offensive Player of the Week
Bailey Chant, NJIT – Jr., Midfielder, Boonton, N.J.
- Tallied six points in two games to lead NJIT to a perfect 2-0 week.
- Set up the lone goal in NJIT’s 1-0 win over Wager on Thursday.
- Scored twice and had an assist in the Highlanders’ 6-0 win over St. Peter’s on Saturday.
- This is Chant’s first career Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Siani Magruder, NJIT – Sr., Defender, Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
- Led a defense that only allowed four shots on goal in two shutout wins.
- Also had two assists in the win over St. Peter’s on Saturday.
- This is her first career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Imani Jenkins – Jr., Forward, Middletown, Conn.
- Had five points on two goals and an assist to lead Hartford to a 2-0 week.
- Scored twice in final two minutes to lead Hartford to a 2-1 comeback win in overtime against Lafayette on Sunday.
- This is her first career Rookie of the Week award.
