BOSTON – Four programs represented America East in the annual Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown. The men’s program from Maine had the highest finish among UAlbany, UMass Lowell and New Hampshire while the River Hawks finished above their rivals in the women’s standings.
Exactly one month from today all ten teams will compete in the 2021 #AEXC Championships at UNH. The River Hawks will attempt to defend both titles. Visit #AEXC Championship Central for more details including start times and course maps.
Here are the Week #4 awards:
Female Performer of the Week
Emily Sessa, UMass Lowell – Gr., Tewksbury, Mass.
- Ran the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown in 17:36.0.
- Sessa finished 20th in a field of nearly 200 runners.
- This is her first #AEXC Performer of the Week award this season.
Male Performer of the Week
Samuel Mills, Maine – Jr., Biddeford, Maine
- Was the top America East finisher at the Battle in Beantown.
- Mills ran a personal-best 25:02.3.
- This is his first #AEXC weekly honor of 2021.
