BOSTON – Vermont and UC Davis had impressive 3-0 weeks on the field hockey turf while UMass Lowell shut out a pair of opponents in two wins.
No. 20 Monmouth topped Villanova 4-3 in overtime on Friday. Play resumes this Friday with seven of the weekend’s 15 games.
The preseason poll was released Aug. 11.

Offensive Player of the Week
Annick van Lange, Monmouth – Sr., Forward, Sint-Job, Belgium
- Set a new league-high with a seven-point game against Villanova.
- van Lange scored three goals including the game-winning overtime tally.
- This is her fourth career Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Eleonore Boekhorst, UMass Lowell – So., Goalkeeper, Bilthoven, Netherlands
- Shut out Boston University and Hofstra to give the River Hawks two wins.
- Boekhorst saved eight shots in total.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season and fourth career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Sophia Drees, Vermont – Fr., Midfield, Bremen, Germany
- Had a breakout seven-point week to guide the Catamounts to a trio of victories.
- Scored three goals, two of which were game-winners against Hofstra and Brown.
- This is her first career #AEFH award.
