BOSTON – Conference play for all 10 of America East’s women’s soccer teams kicks off this upcoming weekend as the 45-game #AEWSOC slate gets underway. UMass Lowell is the reigning regular-season champions as it captured its first-ever title in the 2020-21 abbreviated season.
Each team will play a nine-game schedule in the single round robin format. The top six teams in the conference standings based on points percentage will be qualify for the 2021 America East women’s soccer championship. Here is the matchups and broadcast information for Sunday, Sept. 19.
Last week, Hartford picked up two wins to finish the non-conference portion of its schedule 5-1-1 and ride four-game unbeaten streak into the start of league play. UAlbany, Binghamton, UMass Lowell, Stony Brook and Vermont also picked up wins during the final full week of non-league play.
The preseason poll was announced on August 9.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEWSOC this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Offensive Player & Co-Rookie of the Week
Imani Jenkins, Hartford – So., Forward, Middletown, Conn.
- Had a hat trick in Hartford’s 3-0 win over Siena on Sunday.
- She’s the first Hawk to score three times in a game since Aaliyah Ingram did so in 2015.
- This is Ingram’s first career Offensive Player of the Week honor and second-straight Rookie of the Week honor (Sept. 7).
Defensive Player & Co-Rookie of the Week
Abby Cowles, UMBC – Fr. Goalkeeper, Colts Neck, N.J.
- Stopped all 13 saves she faced in her collegiate debut, a shutout in a tie vs. Longwood on Thursday.
- It was the most saves in goal by a UMBC goalkeeper in five seasons.
- This is her first career Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week award.
