Vermont, UAlbany to Decide #AEMLAX Title on ESPNU

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – For the second time in four seasons, UAlbany and Vermont will decide the America East men's lacrosse title. The two teams will battle for the league championship on ESPNU at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 8. Mike Corey and Matt Ward have the call from UMBC Stadium.
 
In the semifinals, the fourth-seeded Great Danes knocked off top-seeded UMBC 14-12 while the second-seeded Catamounts scored seven-straight second-half goals to complete a 10-7 comeback win over third-seeded Stony Brook.

UAlbany, making its league-record 15th title game appearance, and Vermont, making its fourth in the last five years, are meeting the title game for the second time. The Great Danes won the last matchup in 2018, 14-4, during its championship weekend season. 

While UAlbany has dominated the all-time series, 21-8, Vermont has won the last four get togethers including both meetings this season.
 
The Great Danes are seeking their 10th league title while the Catamounts hope for their first.
