LOWELL, Mass. – Back like they never left, UAlbany swept the 2021 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships. With 200 points, the women won their 12th straight title and 14th in 15 years. The men won their 16th outdoor championship in a row with 139 points.

Elizabeth Lodge was in the midst of winning the heptathlon on Sunday when she also secured a gold medal in the women’s high jump. The Hartford senior earned Most Outstanding Field Performer honors for her performance. UAlbany junior Asia Jinks and Stony Brook senior Amanda Stead each received the Most Outstanding Track Performer award. Jinks swept the hurdles events and anchored the winning 4x400m relay. Stead won the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash and also earned the Coaches’ Award for compiling the most points over the course of the meet.
UAlbany freshman Dominique Clarke was name Most Outstanding Rookie after winning the 100-meter dash and helping the 4x100m relay team earn gold.
After winning the 200m and 400m dashes, UAlbany’s Jan Michael Gutierrez Almedina was named Most Outstanding Track Performer. He also helped the Great Danes win a pair of relays and received the Coaches’ Award.
Hartford grad student Terrel Davis broke a two-decade old long jump record on Saturday and collected Most Outstanding Field Performer honors. UMass Lowell’s Michael Blake earned Most Outstanding Rookie honors
UAlbany’s coaching staff led by Roberto Vives collected men’s and women’s Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Hartford senior Abby Myers received the conference’s Elite 18 Award with a 4.0 GPA in biochemistry. The award is bestowed upon the top-3 medalist with highest GPA. UMass Lowell senior Ben Drezek earned a silver medal in the 3000m steeplechase and received the honor with his 3.97 GPA in Exercise Physiology.

Day 2 Highlights
- Elizabeth Lodge won her second heptathlon in three years.
- Led by Lodge, the Hawks took the top-three spots in the women's high jump.
- Vann Moffett broke a 23 year-old record in the men’s 5K at 14:08.04, 11 seconds faster than the old mark.
- Matthew Baker became the first Binghamton Bearcat to win the men’s triple jump with his mark of 51’5.5”.
- Ludith Campos won her first hammer throw gold medal 181’9”.
- Dan Schaffer defended his title in the men’s 1500m, besting his previous time with a new mark 3:49.68.
- Amanda Stead repeated in the 400-meter dash while Jan Michael Gutierrez Almedina won his first gold in the event.
- Stead also became the first Stony Brook woman to win the 200m while Almedina repeated in the sprint.
- Asia Jinks completed the three-peat in the 400m hurdles as UAlbany took the top-two spots in the podium.
- Two freshman won the 100-meter dash as Michael Blake finished in 11.06. Dominique Clarke's time of 12.22 was good enough to win the women's race.
- UAlbany cruised to victory in the 4x100m and 4x400m women's relays.
- Binghamton won the men's 4x800m relay in 7:33.44.
