BOSTON – Three #AEMSOC teams qualified for the Spring 2021 #AEMSOC Championship Hartford, UNH and Vermont all punched their tickets with wins.
The Hawks secured Pod B with its win over Binghamton, while the Wildcats and Catamounts sit tied atop Pod A at 4-0-1. The two teams meet Friday in a game that will decide the pod as well as the championship’s overall #1 seed. UNH secures it with a win or a tie, while Vermont would with a win.
The final spot in the field will be determined by the NJIT-UMBC matchup. The Highlanders qualify with a win or a tie while the Retrievers are in with a win.
The top seed will host the Sring 2021 America East Men’s Soccer Championship, to be played April 15 and 17.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMSOC this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Offensive Player of the Week
Regsan Watkins, NJIT - Sr., Forward, Cape Town, South Africa
- Scored all three goals in NJIT’s crucial 3-2 win over Stony Brook Friday.
- This is his first-ever #AEMSOC Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Nick Benjamin, Hartford – Jr., Defender, Stonington, Conn.
- Anchored a back line a back line that didn’t allow a goal in two games last week.
- This is Benjamin’s first Defensive Player of the Week season.
Rookie of the Week
Yannick Bright, Vermont - Fr., Midfielder, Milan, Italy
- Had a goal and an assist in UNH’s 4-1 win over UMass Lowell.
- This is Bright’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.
