BOSTON – Binghamton and UAlbany won the final matches of the regular season last weekend as the focus shifts to the Spring 2021 #AEWSOC Championship.
With their 1-0 overtime win on the road, the Bearcats improved to 4-1 in league play and secured a spot in the postseason. The championship will start Thursday with a pair of cross-divisional semifinals matchups. Division A winner UMass Lowell will host each game and play Binghamton at 2 p.m. in the opener. Division B winner Stony Brook will take on Vermont in the second semifinal at 6 p.m.

Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEWSOC this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Offensive Player of the Week
Sarah Dibble, Binghamton – Sr., Midfielder, Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
- Scored the game-winner in OT to punch Binghamton’s ticket to the #AEWSOC Championship.
- It was the senior’s second career goal.
- This is Dibble’s second career Offensive Player of the Week honor and first this season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Haylee Poltorak, Binghamton – Jr., Goalkeeper, Massapequa, N.Y.
- Secured the shutout in crucial overtime win over UMBC.
- Made five saves.
- This is Poltorak’s third career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Charlotte Takacsy, UAlbany - Fr., Defender, Orchard, Park, N.Y.
- Part of defensive unit that allowed just three shots on goal in 1-0 win at NJIT.
- This is her first Rookie of the Week award.
