BOSTON – With its 2-1 win in Burlington last weekend, New Hampshire clinched its second-consecutive #AEMSOC regular-season title and first outright since 2009. The Wildcats will host the spring championship which starts with two semifinals games on Thursday.
NJIT defeated UMBC 1-0 to win Pod C and earn the final spot in the postseason – the Highlanders’ first since joining the league last July. #1 New Hampshire will take on #4 Hartford in the opening match of championship play Thursday at 2 p.m. #2 Vermont and #3 NJIT will then battle in the second semifinal at 7 p.m. Both games will be aired on AmeriaEast.tv. Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMSOC this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Offensive Player of the Week
Paul Mayer, New Hampshire – Gr., Forward, Stasbourg, France
- Had a goal and an assist in UNH’s win over Vermont to secure the regular-season title.
- Mayer opened the scoring and assisted on the game-winner.
- This is his second Offensive Player of the Week award of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Samuel Reisgys, NJIT – So., Goalkeeper, Rimbach, Germany
- Made seven saves in 1-0 shutout win against UMBC which earned NJIT an #AEChamps bid.
- Reisgys came up with his first shutout of the season in the most opportune moment.
- This is his first career #AEMSOC weekly honor
Rookie of the Week
Bjarni Adalsteinsson, Vermont – Fr., Defender, Akureyri, Iceland
- Scored Vermont’s lone goal in the regular season finale.
- It was Adalsteinsson’s first collegiate tally.
- This is his first Rookie of the Week nod.
