BOSTON – The #AEMLAX regular season continues to be a grind at the top of the standings as just one game separates the top four teams, all of which have been nationally ranked this season.
UAlbany provided the latest thrilling win, knocking off #16/18 UMBC, 14-9. Stony Brook and Vermont also won and are tied atop the standings at 5-1. The Great Danes and Retrievers are right behind at 4-2.
Three of those four are nationally ranked this week with Stony Brook coming in at #18 in both national polls, followed by UAlbany at #19. Vermont is #20 in the Inside Lacrosse poll and receiving votes in USILA's. UMBC is the first team out of the IL poll and receiving votes in both.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Offensive Player of the Week
Michael McCormack – Gr., Attack, Williamstown, Mass.
- Scored six goals and added an assist in a win over UMass Lowell.
- This is McCormack’s second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season and his career (3/8).
Defensive Player of the Week
Chris Campbell, Hartford – Jr., Defender, Shrewsbury, Mass.
- Caused three turnovers and picked up a career-high seven ground balls in Hartford’s win over Binghamton, its first of the season.
- Led a defensive unit that held the Bearcats to just seven goals.
- This is Campbell’s first career Defensive Player of the Week honor his career.
Rookie of the Week
Logan Tucker, UAlbany – Fr., Midfielder, Massapequa, N.Y.
- Had two goals and an assist in UAlbany’s crucial 14-9 road win at #16/18 UMBC.
- This is Tucker’s first career Rookie of the Week honor this season.
