With the nation’s fourth-fastest mile time in the country, UMass Lowell graduate student Kaley Richards will compete in the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Richards is the second #AETF student-athlete in as many years to qualify for indoor championships, following Hartford’s Terrel Davis. Richards will compete in the same event New Hampshire great Elinor Purrier won in 2018 in College Station.
Richards will run at indoors March 12 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The semifinals start at 7 p.m. with the finals taking place on March 13 at 6 p.m. The River Hawk will then travel to Oklahoma to run in the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships on March 15 with three other America East student-athletes.
Live coverage of the indoor championships will be streamed on ESPN3. A re-air of the championship will take place starting at 9 p.m. Eastern time Sunday, March 14 on ESPNU. More information can be found on NCAA.com.
