For the second consecutive year, New Hampshire speedster Anna Metzler has qualified for NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The four-day meet will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
The New Hampshire junior qualified for national championships in her first meet of the season against Vermont. The All-American swam the 200 IM in 1:59.23 and posted a time of 4:10.57 in the 400 IM. Metzler will swim in both events in next week. In 2020, she was to scheduled to compete in the 200 IM, 400 IM and the 200 backstroke before the NCAA's were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Metzler will swim in the 200 IM on Thursday, March 18 and will compete in the 400 IM on Friday, March 19. Live championship coverage will air on ESPN3 for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. ESPNU will air a two-hour show at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 6.
