BOSTON – America East field hockey teams went a combined 3-1 against non-conference opponents last weekend. UMass Lowell opened up its season against Bryant with a shutout victory.
UC Davis topped California 2-1 in what was deemed a non-conference contest. UAlbany begins its season on Tuesday afternoon and more non-conference action lies ahead for this week.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEFH this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Offensive Player of the Week
Finn Caron, New Hampshire – Jr., Forward, Hampton, N.H.
- Recorded a hat trick to boost the Wildcats to a win over Merrimack.
- Her three goals are a career-high and came on three shots.
- This is her second consecutive Offensive Player of the Week nod and third of her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Eleonore Boekhorst, UMass Lowell – Fr., Goalkeeper, Bilthoven, Netherlands
- Completed a shutout in her first career collegiate game in the cage.
- Boekhorst saved the lone shot she faced.
- This is her first career #AEFH honor.
Rookie of the Week
Mirthe Gans, UMass Lowell – Fr., Forward, Tiel, Netherlands
- Had a three-point day to lead the River Hawks over Bryant.
- Opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and later assisted on the following tally.
- This is her first career #AEFH weekly award.
