BOSTON – Stony Brook opened its conference slate with a four-game sweep of UAlbany in the capital city. Hartford took three of four from NJIT at home as the Hawks improved to 6-2 in league play.
Another round of series is scheduled to begin Friday with the Seawolves hosting the Hawks, UMass Lowell hosting NJIT and Maine hosting Binghamton. UAlbany will host UMBC starting Saturday.

Player of the Week
Chris Hamilton, Stony Brook – Gr., First Base, Rotterdam, N.Y.
- Slashed .500/.632/1.000 in four-game sweep.
- Hamilton knocked in eight runs and also scored six.
- He reached base at least three times in each game, compiling a 1.632 OPS.
- This is his first Player of the Week honor of the season and second of Hamilton’s career.
Co-Pitcher of the Week
Nathan Florence, Hartford – Gr., Left-Handed Pitcher, Wilbraham, Mass.
- Threw a seven-inning shutout in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader.
- Florence struck out nine and surrendered a lone walk against the Highlanders.
- Allowed four hits in his second consecutive complete seven-inning game.
- This is his second-straight and third career Pitcher of the Week honor.
Co-Pitcher of the Week
Nicholas Sinacola, Maine – Jr., Right-Handed Pitcher, North Attleboro, Mass.
- Tied #AEBASE record for most strikeouts in a conference game with 16.
- Sinacola finished with one walk, one earned run and four hits in seven innings.
- His K/9 was 20.6.
- This is his second Pitcher of the Week honor in three weeks.
Rookie of the Week
Noah Lewis, Maine – Fr., Right-Handed Pitcher, South Portland, Maine
- Pitched seven scoreless innings in the second game of a doubleheader.
- Lewis earned the win while allowing just two hits to the Retrievers.
- He struck out eight and walked two.
- This is his first career #AEBASE weekly award.
