BOSTON – Entering the final week of the regular season, defending champion UAlbany has secured a spot in the #AEVB championship match. The Great Danes were one of four programs to go 3-1 in league play last weekend.
Stony Brook handed the league’s top team its first league loss of the season Monday night and just second overall. The regular season is scheduled to conclude Sunday, March 28 and championship details will be determined this week.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEVB this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEVB Weekly Award Winners – Mar. 23
Player of the Week
Abby Campbell, Stony Brook – Fr., Middle Blocker, Reading, Pa.
- Swinging at a 36.2 percent clip, Campbell led the Seawolves to three wins.
- She recorded 48 kills, including a career-high 18 in Monday’s opener.
- Her 13 kills Monday night helped Stony Brook hand UAlbany its first conference loss of the season.
- This is Campbell’s first career #AEVB weekly award.
Setter of the Week
Torri Henry, Stony Brook – Fr., Setter, Belton, Mo.
- 178 assists in four matches, helping Stony Brook win three.
- Had a career-high 53 assists in the opening match of the weekend for the Seawolves.
- Recorded a double-double in each match, totaling 63 digs on the week.
- This is her second Setter of the Week honor in three weeks.
Defensive Specialist of the Week
Mia Pagliarini, New Hampshire – Fr., Libero, Springboro, Ohio
- Compiled 70 digs for an average of 4.67 per set.
- Pagliarini had at least 16 digs in each match as UNH went 3-1 on the week.
- She also returned serves at a 98 percent clip.
- This is first career #AEVB weekly honor.
Rookie of the Week
Aysia Miller, UMBC – Fr., Setter, Mililani, Hawaii
- Compiled 157 assists in a quartet of matches in which UMBC went 3-1.
- Miller had 45 digs to average a double-double on the weekend.
- She averaged 10.47 assists per set.
- This is Miller’s second consecutive Rookie of the Week award and third overall.
