#AEWSOC Conference Play Set to Start; Week #3 Honors Announced

BOSTON – UAlbany, NJIT and New Hampshire each won non-league games last week. Now, conference play is set to start with three games on the current schedule. The preseason poll and season details were announced on Feb. 10.
 
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEWSOC this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEWSOC Weekly Award Winners – March 2
Offensive Player of the Week
Whitney Wiley, New Hampshire - So., Forward, Vienna, Va.
  • Had three goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for New Hampshire.
  • This is Wiley's first-ever Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Molly Saylor, NJIT - So., Goalkeeper, South Park, Pa.
  • Made four saves and recorded a shutout in NJIT's win over Wagner on Sunday.
  • The shutout is the sixth of her career.
  • This is Saylor's career Defensive Player of the Week award.
Rookie of the Week
Kelly Alivia, New Hampshire - Fr., Back, Pembroke, Mass.
  • Anchored a UNH defense that allowed just four shots on goal over two games and only one score.
  • This is Alivia's first career Defensive Player of the Week award.
