#AEFH Conference Play Scheduled for this Weekend

BOSTON – The 3-1 New Hampshire Wildcats have checked in at No. 18 in the first NFHCA Poll of the spring season. UNH and UMass Lowell each defeated Northeastern last week while UAlbany shut out Hofstra on Sunday.
 
Conference play is scheduled to begin Friday, March 19 with eight games taking place at three sites.
 
 
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEFH this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEFH Weekly Award Winners – Mar. 16
Offensive Player of the Week
Kate Miller, UMass Lowell – So., Midfielder, Cherry Hill, N.J.
  • Led the River Hawks’ offense in Friday’s win over Northeastern.
  • Miller assisted on Isobel Sargent’s tally to break the tie and later scored to cap the comeback.
  • This is her first career Offensive Player of the Week award.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Jemma Woods, New Hampshire – So., Goalkeeper, Frimley, England
  • Earned her first career shutout against Northeastern.
  • Against No. 15 Boston College, Woods saved 10 shots while allowing two goals.
  • This is her first career #AEFH honor.
 
Rookie of the Week
Rosalie Post, New Hampshire – Fr., Back, The Hague, Netherlands
  • Post’s first career goal proved to be the game-winner in a 3-0 victory over Northeastern.
  • Post helped UNH’s defense limit the Huskies to just three shots on goal.
  • This is her first career weekly award.
